Terms of Use

DRAFT — pending legal review. This document must be finalized before the app ships.

Last updated: August 2, 2026

Acceptance

By using Hydrater you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

Not medical advice

Hydrater provides general hydration reminders and tracking. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Fluid needs vary; the app applies conservative safety limits, but if you have a kidney, heart, or liver condition, take diuretics, or are on a fluid-restricted plan, consult your doctor before using hydration targets. Stop and seek medical care if you feel unwell.

Purchases

The Ad-Free upgrade is a one-time purchase processed by Apple or Google; it does not renew. Purchases are tied to your store account and can be restored on new devices via "Restore Purchases". Refunds are handled by the app store under their policies.

Acceptable use

Don't attempt to interfere with the app's operation or misrepresent verification data. The photo-verification feature is a personal commitment tool; gaming it only affects your own records.

Warranty and liability

Hydrater is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the app, including reliance on reminders that fail to deliver due to device settings or platform behavior.

Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be reflected here with a new "last updated" date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
